Festival season may be in full swing, but we’re swapping Woodstock for Storystock, as the Bush Theatre’s hugely popular festival gets set to return for its third year this October.
Featuring three packed days of events for three to 11-year-olds and their families, the unique children’s festival celebrates storytelling and boasts the newly appointed Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell, as its guest of honour.
From 28 to 30 October, children will be treated to everything from creative writing sessions to Manga comic book workshops, storytelling sessions from top authors to a special Harry Potter fest.
Of course it wouldn’t be Storystock without a few theatrical offerings popping up in the line-up and this year is no exception. Amongst the packed schedule, page to stage favourite I Believe In Unicorns makes an appearance, plus there’s an in conversation with Judith Kerr, whose The Tiger Who Came To Tea returns to the West End this winter, and a shadow puppetry workshop.
If that wasn’t enough, there will also be a games night, literary quiz and even a coding workshop to bring writing bang into the 21st century.
Tickets range from £4 to £18 and are now on sale on the Bush Theatre website.
