Olivier winners stage Bank Robbery

Published 3 December 2015

The Olivier Award-winning team behind The Play That Goes Wrong will premiere a brand new bank siege comedy, The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, at the Criterion Theatre next spring.

The announcement marks the third West End farce to hit the West End by Mischief Theatre, a company set up in 2008 by a group of LAMDA graduates whose first production, the Olivier Award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong, has enjoyed huge success in the West End after it transferred from the intimate Old Red Lion.

Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields’ latest offering, which will follow this Christmas’ Peter Pan Goes Wrong, will play from 31 March and once again be directed by their former LAMDA teacher Mark Bell.

The talented trio of writer/performers will star in their own story of hilarious incompetency and gloriously silly set-ups. With one enormous diamond for the taking, eight feckless crooks and a snoozing security guard, in the hands of Mischief Theatre it’s not so much a question of what could go wrong than what could go right…

If you can’t wait until March for this latest dose of hilarity, The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter Pan Goes Wrong are both taking part in our annual ticket promotion Get Into London Theatre. The productions are just two of more than 50 top London shows offering tickets for just £10, £20, £30 or £40. Tickets go on sale for performances from 1 January to 12 February on 8 December, but MasterCard holders can take advantage of a priority booking period now.
