It is as chilly as a penguin’s pocket with a hole in it at Found111. I’m here well before opening time for the new venue on Charing Cross Road yet there is already a queue forming, ready to grab a day seat or return for one of the hottest tickets in town, The Dazzle.
I’m so focussed on wrapping myself up, in fact, I completely miss Bond and Sherlock star Andrew Scott following me up the many many stairs to meet Joanna Vanderham.
That step climbing workout is enough to warm me up, but we dig out a heater for the Scottish star of Banished and The Paradise who plays Milly, the beautiful arrival who shakes up the lives of two brothers, played by Scott and David Dawson, in Richard Greenberg’s drama.
While the portable radiator hums in the background, Vanderham tells us about the show, which was inspired by the true story of siblings who hoarded 136 tons of junk, new venue Found111 and her rather popular co-stars.
Tickets are now sold out for performances of The Dazzle, though day seats and returns are available from the theatre’s box office.
