Love Story is Chichester Festival Theatre’s new musical adaptation of the hugely-popular American romantic novel and 1970 film.
Love Story tells the tale of two very different young people: Oliver Barrett IV went to Harvard and Jenny Cavilleri to Radcliffe. He was rich, she was poor. He was sporty, she played music. But they fell in love.
Swiftly after publication, Erich Segel’s debut novel was made into a film starring Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw which became one of the best-loved romantic films of all time.
This new musical adaptation of Love Story has a score by composer Howard Goodall and a book by Stephen Clark, the writer of musicals Martin Guerre and Zorro.
