A fond, if somewhat irreverent, tribute to the lives of his late mother and his dementia-suffering father, celebrated comedian David Baddiel leads the world premiere of My Family: Not The Sitcom at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
Billed as “a massively disrespectful celebration” of the lives of parents Sarah and Colin, David Baddiel digs beneath the surface of his “wonderful” memories in order to truly remember them.
Recalling their oddities, peculiarities and idiosyncrasies, he celebrates their flaws and achievements uniformly; the dead, after all, aren’t angels.
A show about memories, ageing, infidelity, political correctness and gay cats, Baddiel invites audiences to come and be offended on his behalf on what promises to be a provocative and hilarious evening.
