Alan Ayckbourn’s brand new play focuses on the adult world seen through the eyes of a thoughful nine-year-old. Off school for the day, Winnie accompanies her mother to work. She has an essay to write entitled ‘My Wonderful Day’. Nobody takes any notice of the little girl sitting quietly in a corner. But Winnie finds that the increasingly bizarre behaviour of the adults in this odd household provides her with more than enough fascinating material for her essay.
My Wonderful Day is the 73rd play by the prolific and much-loved British playwright Ayckbourn. It comes to Richmond following its premiere in Scarborough.
