Based on the best seller by Rosamund Pilcher, The Shell Seekers is a heartrending story of three generations of an English family.

While she is recovering from a heart attack Penelope takes comfort from one thing, a family portrait painted by her father entitled The Shell Seekers. However, when her children discover the true value of the painting they are very keen to sell it and claim, what they see as, their inheritance, even if it does tear their family apart. As the plot moves between London and Cornwall, World War II and the present day, the passions and heartbreaks that have run through three generations of the Keeling family are exposed.

The cast is led by Susannah York, who has previously been seen in Amy’s View and Double Double at Richmond.
