Exclusive! In rehearsal: The Dazzle

First Published 25 November 2015, Last Updated 7 December 2015

Few actors send Official London Theatre’s user numbers soaring more than Andrew Scott. From Sherlock’s committed fans to the inevitable profile raising effect his latest role in the world conquering Bond franchise will have had, it’s officially time a collective noun was settled on for Scott fans.

While we’re huge fans of the Moriarty star’s screen work, it’s Scott’s roles on stage that have us sending off our fan club subs; from his haunting performance in Simon Stephens’ monologue Sea Wall to his heart wrenching and witty role opposite Ben Whishaw in the Olivier Award-winning Cock. And now the countdown is on to his next stage appearance in the similarly intimate setting of London’s newest theatre, Found111.

Starring alongside Joanna Vanderham and David Dawson, the talented trio will be bringing Richard Greenberg’s explosive drama The Dazzle to UK audiences for the very first time from 10 December under the direction of rising star Simon Evans.

Photographer Marc Brenner snuck into rehearsals to see how things are shaping up, and while the story may be set in a New York home surrounded by 136 tons of hoarded junk, from the warehouse setting and bare feet on display, this rehearsal room couldn’t be more minimal.

Take a first look at Scott, Dawson and Vanderham preparing for the much anticipated premiere in our exclusive gallery above. Call it an early Christmas present.
