I Can’t Sing reveals judges trailer

First Published 13 December 2013, Last Updated 16 December 2013

As The X Factor builds towards its phone line-melting conclusion this weekend, I Can’t Sing – The X Factor Musical has unveiled a new trailer featuring its own judges.

In a hint towards the humour used in the show, which will lovingly send up the light entertainment behemoth that has ruled weekend early evening television for a decade, cameras take us backstage.

Here we see Simon, played by Nigel Harman, preparing for the live show and for another imminent arrival, Jordy receiving a rose tattoo and Louis indulging in a spot of pre-show jigging. There’s even a cameo from the production’s writer Harry Hill.

I Can’t Sing – The X Factor Musical follows the fortunes of contestant Chenice, played by rising star Cynthia Erivo, as she is convinced to audition for the famous star-making show. Aided by her talking dog Barlow – yes, you read that correctly – she encounters judges and a cast of ‘interesting’ contestants on her journey to possible stardom.

The show, which is produced by Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Stage Entertainment, begins previews at the London Palladium on 27 February 2014.
