It has been performed hundreds of thousands of times in over 80 countries across the globe. Over the years Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has received a whopping 6 Tony nominations and 7 Olivier Award nominations.

A story told entirely by song, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tells the story of Joseph, Jacob’s favourite of his 12 sons. After his brothers turn on him and sell him into slavery, Joseph ingratiates himself with Potiphar, an Egyptian noble, but is imprisoned after resisting the advances of Potiphar’s wife.

While in prison, Joseph discovers he has the ability to interpret dreams and when word gets out he finds himself in front of the Pharoah himself. As he becomes the Pharoah’s right-hand man, and struggles to solve the famine sweeping across Egypt, he is reunited with the brothers who betrayed him.

Casting hasn’t yet been announced for this production Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s iconic musical, but we do know that Laurence Connor will return to direct.
