Kids Week returns for 2015

Published 27 February 2015

Kids Week, our annual kids go free ticket promotion, will return this summer, offering families the chance to see a host of London shows for less throughout the entire month of August.

This year, the all-important date for every theatre-loving family’s diary is 16 June, when tickets for the hugely popular promotion go on sale.

Now in its 18th year, Kids Week offers a free child’s ticket for every full price ticket purchased, plus a further two children’s tickets at half price, for performances from 1 to 31 August.

Participating shows are still to be announced but, once again, in addition to the incredible kids go free offer, Kids Week will provide a range of show-related workshops and activities, giving children the opportunity to discover more about performing on a West End stage and what happens behind the scenes.

Last year’s promotion saw a staggering 176,000 tickets sold as part of the month-long festival of family theatregoing, with a record-breaking 85,336 tickets snapped up during the first 24 hours of ticket sales.

As families wait in anticipation for 16 June, they can keep up to date with all the latest Kids Week news by following Kids Week on Facebook and Twitter.

As an additional treat, in the run-up to Mother’s Day the kids go free promotion has teamed up with Theatre Tokens to offer the chance to win two prizes of £100 of the nationwide theatre vouchers.

No matter what your age or artistic ability, everyone can enter. All you have to do is send the Kids Week team a picture of your mum, be it on pen and paper, online or a photograph. One prize will be awarded to a child aged 16 or younger and the other to a big kid over the age of 16, plus they’ll be giving a goody bag to five lucky runners-up.
