Olivier Award-winning actor Matthew Kelly will star in the cast of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s Pride And Prejudice this autumn.

Former You Bet! and Stars In Their Eyes presenter Kelly, whose previous West End credits include Waiting For Godot with Ian McKellen and Of Mice And Men at the Savoy Theatre in 2004, for which he was awarded the Olivier Award for Best Actor, will play father figure Mr Bennet in the conclusion to the al fresco venue’s 2016 summer season.

With full casting announced for the exciting production, rising West End and Broadway star Tafline Steen, who recently made her professional debut as Jess in King Charles III at the Almeida Theatre, is due to play Elizabeth, opposite stage and screen actor Benjamin Dilloway (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as her love interest Mr Darcy.

Doña Croll’s Lady Catherine De Bourgh will also join the previously announced Felicity Montagu (Mrs Bennet) in the cast, alongside Hollie Edwin, Mari Izzard, Leigh Quinn, Anna Crichlow, Jordan Mifsúd, Steven Meo, Daniel Abbott, Kirsty Rider, Francesca Bailey, Charlotte Palmer and Mark Rawlings.

Based on Jane Austen’s classic novel of status and love, Pride And Prejudice returns to Regent’s Park having garnered significant acclaim and sell-out performances at the venue in 2013, and will run between 2-17 September ahead of a UK tour.

Tickets can be purchased from the venue’s website.
