Listen up, let me tell you a story! The five-time Olivier Award nominated musical Six is anointing some new Queens later this year. And as if that’s not a royal enough treat, the show’s also extended in the West End until Sunday 5 July.

As a couple of the original Six cast – Millie O’Connell and Maiya Quansah-Breed – depart for productions new, Courtney Bowman (who played Fatimah in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) and Danielle Steers (Zahara in Bat Out Of Hell) will take over as Anne Boleyn and Catherine Parr respectively from Tuesday 15 October.

They’ll join Six cast members Jarneia Richard-Noel (Catherine of Aragon), Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour), Alexia McIntosh (Anna of Cleves) and Aimie Atkinson (Katherine Howard), who are staying with the production.

It has also been announced that swings and alternates Grace Mouat, Vicki Manser and Courtney Stapleton will abdicate their roles at a date to be confirmed. From next month, Colette Guitart will join the company as a Dance Captain/Understudy, and Shekinah Macfarlane will join as Alternate Catherine of Aragon and Anna of Cleves until October.

Further alternate casting is due to be announced at a later date. And there’s also a regal treat in store for Six fans, as 85,000 more tickets go on sale for the show today for a six-month extension at the Arts Theatre.

Six is Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ breakout musical sensation, telling the stories of Henry VIII’s Six wives from their perspectives. The show has everyone positively losing their heads, as it received five Olivier nominations – including Best New Musical, Best Choreography and Best Costume Design – and has gone global, being performed in the West End, across the UK on tour, and in Chicago. Discussions are underway for runs in Canada, Japan, Australia, Sotuh Korea and China.

So everybody, “get in reFORMATION” – don’t miss the new Six cast in action! Sorry not sorry…
