Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School Of Rock The Musical is now booking until January 2019, with a new group of kids joining the Olivier Award-winning production later this month.

The widely acclaimed West End rock musical broke records at its New London Theatre home, opening to rave reviews last year, and, at this year’s Olivier Awards with Mastercard ceremony, claimed the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music for the show’s ‘kids’ cast, who play live music on stage at each performance.

Continuing the countrywide search for the opportunity to ‘join the band’, further kids open auditions will take place in the Autumn on 23 September in Liverpool and 20 and 22 November in London. Children between 8-12 years old who play the drums, keys or the electric or bass guitar are invited to register for auditions on the musical’s website

Meanwhile, with members of the current class set to graduate from the musical, from 26 August 2017 the ‘kids’ cast will comprise Jacob Swann, Annabel Gracey, Siam Elvidge, who will play Freddy; Santiago Cerchione, Phoenix Taylor, and Jack Goodacre, who will play Zack; Eliza Cowdery, Imogen Bowden, and Audrey Newman, who will play Katie; Cole Lam, Milano Preston, and Johnny Evans-Hutchison, who will play Lawrence; Joseph Black, Harry Vallance, and Archie Lewis, who will play Billy; and Aaliyah Monk, Stella Haden, and Caoimhe Judd, who will play Summer.

Also joining the cast will be Tia Figgett, Jasmine Sakyiama, and Nerys Obeng, who will play Tomika; Nathan Reeve, Stanley Jarvis and Josh White, who will play James; Alex Stuckey, Charlie Vyacheslavov and Dylan Miles-Davis, who will play Matthew; Ellie Wilcox, Romanie Jija-Wakeham and Grace Wood, who will play Marcy; Cody Molko, Austin Kindler and Nicolas Ong who will play Mason; Saffron Pennycooke, Aaylia Rose, and Miami Holness, who will play Shonelle; and Teri Ofon, Navaeah Hoath and Darcy Dennis who will play Sophie.

The three teams of thirteen kids who make up Dewey’s band are joined by the adult cast comprising Gary Trainor as Dewey Finn with Florence Andrews as Rosalie Mullins, Oliver Jackson as Ned Schneebly and Preeya Kalidas as Patty Di Marco.

Inspired by the popular 2003 film of the same title, School Of Rock The Musical features songs from the movie, and sees a down-on-his-luck wannabe rock star pose as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school, transforming his class’ whole education by discovering their guitar-thrashing musical talents.
