Showstopper! The Improvised Musical will continue to delight West End audiences with a new musical each night when it transfers to London’s Lyric Theatre for a limited run of 10 performances between 15 February and 25 July next year.

The unpredictable and hilarious hit, which ended its run at the Apollo Theatre this evening, will transfer to the home of Thriller Live for performances on 15 February, 14 March, 11 April, 9 and 23 May, 6 and 20 June, and 4, 18 and 25 July.

The hugely popular show, which sees the cast create a brand new musical from audience suggestions, began its first full West End run back in September and has since been treating theatregoers to an eclectic range of spontaneous shows.

Highlights of The Showstoppers’ recent run include titles including Royal Flush, a musical set in the Queen’s bathroom, the Daily Mail-inspired The Lyin’ King and Bricking It, the sad history of the Guernsey Lego factory.

As well as delighting the public with its innovative musical tales, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical has proved a hit with critics, with the Daily Telegraph describing the show as “so polished, it defies belief” and the Evening Standard declaring it “A success story that could run and run”.

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical will play Monday performances alongside long-standing Lyric Theatre hit Thriller Live, which will continue to entertain West End audiences with Michael Jackson’s greatest hits as normal.
