Drum roll…It’s time to roll out the (virtual) red carpet as the Mousetrap Awards 2020 are back tomorrow and this time, with it’s first-ever digital YouTube premiere!

The Mousetrap Awards is the only UK theatre awards run and voted for by young people. Anyone aged 15-29 can get involved, and everyone who votes is invited to attend the red carpet ceremony alongside the superstar winners!

The glorious awards are led by the brilliant Youth Forum from start to finish. From creating the categories and selecting the nominees to organising and hosting the ceremony itself, this is a fantastic opportunity for young members of the public to have their say but also a unique opportunity for members of the Youth Forum to get the experience of running – and sometimes even performing in – a prestigious West End event.

The 9th annual Mousetrap Awards saw a record-breaking number of people voted to crown their winners. With unique categories including ‘Saved The Day’ and ‘Bring It Back’ – as well as prestigious prizes for ‘Best Play’ and ‘Best Musical’ – this is a one-of-a-kind ceremony, and it’s so exciting that this year, everyone has a front-row seat!

Subscribe to their YouTube channel to get a head-start and then tune in tomorrow at 8pm to find out which shows and performances were chosen as the 2019 highlights! And if you’d like to find out more, head to The Mousetrap Theatre Project’s website here.
