The hit production of Yes, Prime Minister arrives in the West End for a third time from 6 June.
The political comedy is taking up residence for an open ended run not far from the Downing Street home of our very own Prime Minister at Trafalgar Studio 1 on Whitehall.
Yes, Prime Minister offers a modern twist on the original 1980s sitcom of the same name, focusing on timely themes such as the Euro, the failing economy, global warming, religion, BBC spending and the UK’s relationship with America.
Since premiering at the Chichester Festival Theatre in 2010, the production has brought Prime Minister Jim Hacker and Cabinet Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby’s cat-and-mouse relationship to the Gielgud and Apollo theatres.
Adapted for the stage by the TV series’ original writers Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, Yes, Prime Minister is directed by Lynn whose credits as a director include the films The Whole Nine Yards, The Fighting Temptations and The Distinguished Gentleman.
Casting for the production is yet to be announced.
