Franco Alfano’s opera, based on Rostand’s legendary swordsman and poet, receives its Royal Opera debut in a production directed by Francesca Zambello.

Cyrano De Bergerac is an expert duellist who is also a remarkable wordsmith, what’s more, his code of honour dictates that he must help his friend woo Roxane, only revelling his true feelings when it is too late.

One of the much-loved Three Tenors and superstar of opera Plácido Domingo plays the big-nosed hero.
