Russell Tovey and Jaime Winstone star in Sex With A Stranger, a new play about a man tempted on a night out.
Written by Stefan Golaszewski, Sex With A Stranger follows Adam, a stuck in a relationship rut. His overprotective girlfriend keeps him on a tight leash, but a friend’s birthday offers him the opportunity of a night out with out her. But a chance nightclub meeting brings with it the chance of excitement and a test of Adam’s resolve.
Sex With A Stranger is the second time that Tovey has worked with playwright Golaszewski, having appeared opposite Sarah Solemani in the writer’s BBC3 sitcom Him And Her. Best known for his screen appearances, which include playing werewolf George in cult drama Being Human, the actor was also one of the original cast members of all-conquering Alan Bennett play The History Boys.
Winstone returns to the stage in Sex With A Stranger, having previously appeared in The Fastest Clock In The Universe at Hampstead theatre. The daughter of actor Ray Winstone, she is also best known for her screen performances which include Made In Dagenham and Donkey Punch.
