Tim Firth’s (Calendar Girls) comedy Sign Of The Times stars Laurence Olivier Award-winning actor Matthew Kelly and Gerard Kearns.

Two-hander Sign Of The Times tells the story of Frank Tollit and his quest for happiness in unpredictable times. Tollit has put up giant letters on the sides of buildings for over 25 years. From 40-foot yellow IKEAs to five-foot red COMETs, Frank has done them all. It has been his talent but not his ambition. That involves a very different sort of letters, literary ones. But a lifelong lack of success is driving him to the edge. However, not even in one of his wildest plots could Frank have dreamed that salvation would turn up in the shape of a clumsy teenager on work experience.

Kelly was awarded a Laurence Olivier Award in 2003 for his performance in Of Mice And Men at the Savoy theatre. His other stage credits including Waiting For Godot, Comedians and Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf.

Having spent four years playing Shameless’s Ian Gallagher, Kearns makes his West End debut in Sign Of The Times.
